Weekly Photo Challenge: Solitary

The bank holiday provided a long weekend perfectly timed for a quick trip across the pond for Ren Man's 30something high school reunion near Annapolis, Maryland.

Unfortunately, a Navy home game required us to get very creative with accomodations.
Fortunately, we found something we would have never ventured to locate under normal circumstances.
In order to be closer to the reunion venue...
we 'hung our hat' in a houseboat...
which I loved, loved, loved.

Inside, the 'Ark' was quite cozy...
with a simple vase of fresh flowers in the middle of a small table beside a sofa and wood stove, well equiped economy size kitchen and a queen size bed.
All very convenient...
for a house floating in a marina...
except for the...
This was not mentioned in the brochure and
I avoided this contraption completely...
footprint or no footprint.
The only way a greener earth is promoted by using this would be the shade of green my face turned everytime I attempted to 'get over it' and use the darn thing.
The line has been drawn.

Now, the weekly photo theme being solitary fits nicely in with this photo because there is this teeny, tiny, solitary reason I will not pay to sleep on the Ark again.

Which is a hard statement to make after enjoying this...
vision of solitude...
as we hurried off to find a real toilet on the way to the reunion.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.
